Colleen McDaniel: Owner/Artistic Director/Instructor

Colleen has over 18 years of experience as an instructor. Colleen danced and trained as a gymnast throughout her childhood and soon began to compete in both. By age 15 Colleen started instructing gymnastics through the local park district. She attended Dancin’ on Broadway and The Dance Shoppe (now known as Summit Dance Shoppe) and competed in gymnastics and the nationally ranked cheerleading program through her high school. After graduating high school, she worked as an  instructor for the Nation Cheerleading Association. Colleen continued her technical training as a dancer with Zenon Dance School. While attending the University of MN Colleen was a Gopher Cheerleader and was able to incorporate her love for instructing dance and performing arts through her internship with the American Variety Theater Company which operated out of the historic Capri Theater in North Minneapolis, MN. Colleen graduated from the University of MN in 2001 with a B.S. in Speech Communications and Youth Development. After college, Colleen continued her passion for instruction working as an Adventure Specialist with Boston University Sargent Center for Outdoor Learning. Colleen returned to Minneapolis to accept a position with Kelle Costume Company, gaining great experience in the business world, Colleen longed for the fun of movement and in 2011 she graduated the teacher training program with the Yoga Center of Minneapolis.  Colleen instructed Dance and Yoga at several studios before opening MPAC in 2014.
